(Assuming a 12-hour work day, that is 7,166 people placed every hour into a Temp or Contract job. I know I am labouring the point, but I just love it!)

50. Robert Walters Australia has reported a $2 million loss before tax for calendar 2023 (ASIC). The company posted a $5 million profit before tax in calendar 2022. Revenue from Robert Walters’ perm business dropped 28% year-on-year to $27.6 million, while revenue from temp rose 1% to $269.6m. Gross profit was $52.7m, down 17% year-on-year.
51. Recruitment activity in South Africa jumped 32% in the year between April 2021 and April 2022, reflecting a strong hiring trend (Career Junction).
52. ManpowerGroup celebrates 75 years in business. ManpowerGroup was founded as Manpower in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA, in 1948 and expanded rapidly, capitalising on the post-war employment boom. It was listed on the NYSE in 1967 and now operates in more than 70 countries throughout the world. It has operated in Australia for more than 50 years.
53. ManpowerGroup’s Australian revenue declined 51% year-on-year in constant currency in the March 2024 quarter. The decline was primarily due to decreased activity in its RPO business, down US$25.3 million (A$38.2m), driven by the end of its ADF contract.
54. In 2023, Korn Ferry was the leading executive search firm worldwide, reporting an annual revenue of roughly 2.8 billion U.S. dollars. Second, in the rankings was Russell Reynolds Associates, with the New York-headquartered management consulting firm generating revenue in the region of 1.04 billion U.S. dollars.
